House of Diehl Make War

Anyone that can earn the review,"The best design team since...Jesus Christ" has caught my attention. Enter House of Diehl, the creative marriage of MJ Diehl and Roman Milisic. Together they produce fashions that are both innovative and elegant. Dresses are precisely draped making the numerous folds and structural elements conform to the body in a flattering way. But the House of Diehl line is only a small percentage of what Diehl and Milisic actually do. For the past few years now they have been pioneering a movement they call 'Style Wars'. The most recent challenge was to make a garment out of household products. Wars from the past include constructing a garment from woven measuring tapes that is fully adjustable making it 'one size fits all'. Beginning as an onling challenge, HoD took it a step further and went on the road to all major U.S. cities. To enlist in a Style War or to see slideshows from all participating cities in the household product War, copy and paste http://www.moli.com/p/views/v2b9qhposlFy6rOLOJPmsYGg../ into your browser. And beyond signature fashion and interactive challenges, HoD also pride themselves on installations and projects on a grand scale. In the event entitled 'So Impressed', HoD attempted to wash away some of the sterility of typical encaptured moments by embracing every movement in an impression. Various rubber stamps were adhered to shoe soles and then placed on the feet of many dancers who performed on a fabric runway. At shows end, HoD constructed t-shirts from the runway. www.houseofdiehl.com "THE DRESS IS FINE, IT'S THE PARTY THAT MAKES YOU LOOK FAT."-MJ Milisic
